Using a strong password for your GigHound account makes it harder for people to access your account without your permission. The password you choose should be easy for you to remember, but hard for someone else to figure out.
Create a unique password
Make sure your GigHound password is different than the passwords you use for other websites, like your email, bank account, or social media. That way, if one of your other accounts is compromised, it's less likely to impact your GigHound account.
Use at least 8 characters
Make sure your password is at least 8 characters long, and try to use a mix of letters, numbers, and a few special characters (e.g. # $ , !). An easy way to make a strong password is to combine multiple words and symbols together into a unique phrase—the longer your password is, the harder it will be to guess.
Never use your first or last name or email address in your password.
Avoid common combinations
Avoid using common words and don't use a combination of word+digit. This combination is used too commonly to be strong.
Get a password manager
Password managers can help you organize and store your passwords. Using one will make it easy to have a strong, unique password for each of your accounts online.
