You will receive vacation pay for each shift worked as a GigHound employee. Starting with your first shift, this will be automatically calculated and added to each paycheck.
What is the formula for calculating vacation pay?
Vacation pay is determined by the government and is based on a percentage of the employee's vacationable earnings that shifts. This percentage may vary depending on each province's government employment standards.
If you qualify for overtime pay as a GigHound employee by working more than the standard work hours as defined by the Canada Labour Code, you will be paid. Overtime pay will be calculated and added to your paycheck for the shift worked.
If you qualify for statutory holiday pay as a GigHound employee by working on a national statutory holiday, you will be paid. Statutory pay for the shift worked will be calculated and added to your paycheck.
The details of your vacation, overtime or statutory pay can be found on your pay stub.
