Safety is our top priority.
Get yourself to a safe location and immediately contact your shift supervisor if you get hurt or need medical attention while working. If it is an emergency situation or if your personal safety is threatened, contact local police or emergency services immediately.
Once you are safe and your immediate concerns have been addressed, immediately report the accident, illness, or incident to GigHound support.
What to do if you’re injured at work:
1. Report your injury immediately to your shift supervisor and GigHound at support@gighound.com
You will be required to give GigHound some details, including the date and circumstances of your injury, who you notified about it (shift supervisor, etc.), and any pictures or additional information you may have about the injury. An Incident Report must be filled out to document the injury so that GigHound can take the necessary steps.
2. Seek medical attention.
It is important to seek medical attention at the job site and/or at a medical facility.
3. Report your injury to your province's WorkSafe.
It is important you contact your provincial WorkSafe to ensure all the proper information is documented for your claim. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
Note: In an emergency situation or if your personal safety is threatened, contact the local police or emergency services immediately.
